On November 7th, 2022, the government of Province of Canada New Brunswick and the federal government of Canada introduced the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Project (NBCWP). This new program NBCWP has a unique focus as it aims not only to provide economic immigration to New Brunswick province of Canada but also to help retain newcomers by offering settlement services for immigrants.
A pilot project NBCWP will collaborate with six chosen employer companies to fill labor gaps in various industries in New Brunswick such as manufacturing, fisheries, food production, forestry, farming, and others. The program NBCWP will be regularly monitored and reviewed every five years to ensure it is achieving the desired goals.

The New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Project (NBCWP) program has chosen six employers who have been selected by government based on their outstanding performance in the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP), their previous track record of hiring many immigrants and maintaining good hiring practices, and their excellent ability to provide settlement services to new coming economic immigrants.
